Commitments
Eight things we will not bend on.
Each of these costs us something — money, work, or the comfort of giving you a clean answer. That is the reason they are worth writing down. If we break one, the engagement is void and you are free to say so in public.
-
We don’t make your decision.
We go, look, film, photograph, and write down what we saw. We do not score the supplier, rank it, or tell you it is safe to pay. A decision needs your margin, your customer and your appetite for risk — none of which are visible from a factory gate.
Rules out No risk score. No verdict. No “looks good to me”.
The principle → -
We take nothing from the factory.
No commission, rebate, referral fee, gift or hospitality — not from the supplier, and not from any inspection company, forwarder or certification body we might point you toward. We hand every factory a written no-commission notice, and every report ends with a signed interests declaration.
Rules out No being anybody’s agent, and no hidden second payer.
The exact notice we hand over → -
We film in one take.
From the street corner to the gate to the production floor and back out, without cuts. A cut is the thing that makes a video fabricable: the moment you edit, a shot from another factory can be moved into this one.
Rules out No highlight reel, no music, no “we will send the good parts”.
The 20-shot route → -
Every report says what it could not confirm.
The section is mandatory, and it is usually the longest one. Capacity, ownership of the building, product conformity, whether the goods were destined for you — one afternoon cannot establish any of it, and a report that pretends otherwise is worth less than one that says so.
Rules out No silence about gaps, and no certainty we did not earn.
See it in a full sample report → -
A named person signs it.
The person who went is on the report, with a date and a time. If you ever need to ask “what did you actually see”, there is somebody to ask. We do not pass work to anonymous couriers.
Rules out No white-label subcontracting, no mystery verifier.
Who goes, and where → -
Refusal is a result.
If a supplier will not let us in, that is often the single most useful thing you learn. We still deliver the footage from the street, the sign, the address and their exact response — and we do not refund for it. We refund only if the address cannot be found or the visit does not happen.
Rules out No refunds used as a substitute for information.
Refund terms → -
A quiet day is not a red flag.
Factories have slow weeks, holidays and changeovers. If nothing is running on the day we visit, the report records an observation — not evidence of fraud. Anyone who reads alarm into a single quiet Tuesday is selling you certainty instead of evidence.
Rules out No manufacturing of alarm to look thorough.
How we handle a quiet day → -
We don’t sell inspection.
Quality conformity is a different discipline with different standards, sampling plans and liability. If what you need is an inspection, we will say so and point you at people who do it — and take no referral fee for that either.
Rules out No pretending one visit answers everything.
Why we turn this work down →
What happens if we break one.
Tell us, in public, with the report attached. The founder’s name and face are on this business, and the audience that would see it is the same audience we depend on. That is not a promise we are asking you to trust — it is the structure we chose on purpose.
